Iron Skillet Truffle Roasted Chicken ~ Noreen’s Kitchen

Greetings! Today I am making an amazing iron skillet, truffle roasted chicken! I know this sounds fancy. I also know that it sounds like the old south meets a French Bistro. But trust me, this is going to knock your family’s socks off!

Infusing the chicken with a combination of truffle oil and truffle salt is the secret to getting this chicken just right. Truffle is a flavor all it’s own and if you have never tried anything with truffles in it, specifically, black truffles then you will want to taste this before making it for your family. Truffle has a very earthy taste. Deeper than mushrooms but along the same lines. You will have to decide for yourself if you enjoy that taste, but from my perspective, I can tell you that truffle is one of my favorite savory flavors!

An organic chicken, a bit of truffle oil, a bit of truffle salt and some simple veggies in an iron skillet make the perfect Sunday dinner. This chicken was amazing. I served it with a simple mushroom and garlic fettuccine on the side.

I hope you take a look at the discount stores, like TJ Maxx the next time you are there. I find great deals on spices and gourmet items like the truffle oils and salts. This makes preparing a gourmet dish for my family very affordable. A little bit of oil and a little bit of salt go a long way to big flavor!
